Christopher Columbus (Italian: Cristoforo Colombo; Spanish: Cristóbal Colón; Portuguese: Cristóvão Colombo)
I thought a name is what you are supposed to be called! What gives all these various countries the right to bastardize the good name of Christoforo Colombo?
I get so annoyed when I am told my name in Spanish is Miguel… read my lips “My-Kull” now you try… “Mee-gwell”… close enough
I don’t think you should worry too much about someone’s inability to pronounce your name, but I understand your feelings. I used to get so furious when people would say “Your mother wears combat boots” Even when I knew she didn’t
